Pond Care® Algae Blocker®

Purpose and Benefits:

Algae Blocker controls unsightly algae, underwater weeds and undesirable submerged plant life in ornamental ponds. By turning the water an attractive blue-green, algae and submerged weeds are deprived of the sunlight needed to survive.

For use in Koi ponds and ornamental water gardens, Algae Blocker eliminates existing algae and controls additional algae blooms.

Directions for Use:

It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Distribute Algae Blocker evenly in the body of water to be treated.

For algae control in garden ponds and fountains less than two feet deep, add 8.0 ml of Algae Blocker for every 100 U.S. gallons (378 L) of pond water.

For ornamental ponds and fountains over two feet deep, add 4.0 ml Algae Blocker for every 100 U.S. gallons (378 L) of pond water.

For best results, remove activated carbon and add Algae Blocker near water pump outflow or waterfall for efficient dispersal into the water. Repeat dose when color fades.

Compatibility:

Precaution: non-target plants (water lilies, water hyacinths, cattails) may suffer contact burns if Algae Blocker is accidentally poured directly on them. Desirable submerged plants may also be affected due to reduced levels of sunlight.

Algae Blocker will last up to four months in ponds not filtered with activated carbon. Filtering with activated carbon will remove Algae Blocker from the water.
